How to open a Bank Account and getting Credit Cards in Montenegro ?

1) Open a Commercial Bank Account for a new registered Doo Company takes approx 30-60 Minutes:

Every Company in Montengro must have at least one Bank Account. Before applying a commercial Bank Account the new company must be registered at Montenegro Company Registration Office in Podgorica.

Company director must have / provide following papers:

• Registration Certificate of Official Company Registration - Original Paper no copies !
• TAX number PDW
• Tax Identifi:cation-Number: PIB
• Company Seal / Stamper
• Passport of Director
• Act of Company Foundation
• Copy of validation of the signature - must be validated at court

Steps to open a Corporate Company Account:

• Bank will make copies / xerox of all required papers
• Contract on opening of the company account and keeping the account
• Bank Card with signatures of director and / or signature of person with power of atorney (is received and signed in bank office). A copy of Bank Card will be handed out to Company Director after Bank Account Contract is singned.
• OP (validation of the signature) a form validated in the Basic Court
• Document on tax identification number (PIB) by the Tax Authority of Montenegro
• TAX Number PDW of Company in Montenegro
• Act of Company Foundation
• Apply for Commercial Credit Card
• Appyl for Commercial Internet Banking (National & International)

3) Commercial Visa Credit Card Account - 2 - 7 working days depending on Bank

2) Open a Non Resident Private Bank Account and getting a Visa / Maestro Credit Card in Montenegro takes approx 30 Minutes:

Applicants must have / provide following papers:

• Passport of Bank Account Holder
• Mobile Phone Number for receiving SMS account statements
• Address City of Origin

International Private Bank Account in US Dollars or British Pounds must be applied seperatly and will have some extra costs.

3) Private Credit Cards

• Visa Credit Card Electron - Worldwide acceptable
• Maestro Credit / Debit Card - Worldwide acceptable

Bank Account Fees:

• 2x Accounts (National & International) 0,50 - to 1,00 Euro monthly fee depending on Bank
• Internet Banking 0,90 - 2,00 Euro monthly fee depending on Bank
